Where is Madison Vines located?
110 Campground Lane, Madison, Virginia 22727. We’re 25 miles northeast of Charlottesville, 80 miles southwest of Washington DC, and at the foot of the Blue Ridge Mountains.
Are you open year-round?
Yes. We’re open 365 days a year. Cottages are heated. The 16-foot spa is kept at 102°F year-round. The pool is seasonal (May through September). Winter office hours are Monday–Saturday 9–4, Sunday 10–2.
How do I book?
Book direct online at our reservation portal (best rate, no third-party fees) or call us at 540-948-4186 during office hours. We’re happy to help you pick the right site or cottage.
What’s the deposit and cancellation policy?
$250 reservation fee at booking. $250 security deposit at check-in (refunded at checkout). For extended-stay cottages, security is $500 plus $250 electric deposit. You must cancel 30+ days before arrival for a refund of the deposit, less a $25 minimum cancellation fee.
Are RV sites big-rig friendly?
Yes. We have 5 RV site tiers. Premium Pull-Thrus are 70+ feet and will hold a 45-foot fifth wheel with the truck still attached. 20/30/50 amp on every site, paved interior roads. Good Sam Inspector rated 10/10+/10.
What hookups do RV sites include?
Every RV site has water, sewer, electric (20/30/50 amp), cable TV, and free WiFi. Picnic tables and fire rings are included.
Are cottages furnished?
Fully. Each cottage has a bathroom (shower, sink, toilet), living room with TV and dining table, full kitchen with stove top, microwave, toaster, coffee pot, sink, and apartment-sized fridge. AC and heating throughout. Linens provided in all cottages except pet-friendly units.
How many guests can each cottage sleep?
Studio cottages: 3–4 guests (queen bed + 1–2 bunks). One-bedroom cottages: up to 4 adults (queen bed + full sleeper sofa). Two-bedroom cottages: 4 adults + 1 child (queen bed + full bed + twin bunk).
Are pets allowed?
Yes, in select pet-friendly cottages in the Pond and Cul-de-Sac sections. There is a $30 non-refundable pet fee per stay. Linens and towels are NOT provided in pet-friendly cottages — bring your own.
Do you offer monthly or extended-stay rates?
Yes. Monthly RV rates start at $820 + electric (winter) for Standard sites. Monthly cottage rates start at $815 + electric (winter) for Studios. Electric is metered and billed separately.
What amenities are included with my stay?
All guests have full access to the pool (seasonal), 16-foot spa (year-round), fitness center, 4 pickleball courts, beach volleyball, half-court basketball, game room, fishing pond, fire pits, playground, recreation hall, and weekly events.
What weekly activities do you have?
Friday Happy Hour & Bingo, Super Soaker Hay Rides, Arts & Crafts, Movie Nights, Sports tournaments (pickleball, cornhole, horseshoe, bocce), and Poolside DJ parties. Schedule varies — check at the office.
How close are wineries and breweries?
Early Mountain Vineyards (USA Today’s #1 Tasting Room) is 3 miles away. DuCard Vineyards is 10 miles. 30+ wineries and 20+ breweries are within an hour. Charlottesville’s wine and beer scene is 25 miles south.
How close is hiking?
Old Rag Mountain (the East Coast’s iconic scramble) is 8 miles away. Shenandoah National Park’s Thornton Gap entrance is 15 miles. Skyline Drive runs 105 miles along the ridge. Many half-day hikes accessible from the resort.
Are all cottages non-smoking?
Yes, all cottages are strictly non-smoking. Designated smoking areas exist outdoors throughout the property.
